thank you + other things

Confessions of a Love Addict, gratitude, inspirations, Ken Yates, life, Race for the Cure

First, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who reached out to me this week.  I received a huge response for the house that built me. From the comments and repostings, to the emails and those who shared their personal experiences with the house, thank you to everyone.  It's been fun to know that the house and the memories made there have been important to others as well as my own family.

Also, thank you to those who have been huge encouragement in regards to my writing this blog.  The blog started as a way to vent and express myself and keep my mother informed of the goings on in my life.  While it's major function hasn't changed, it has evolved thanks to the encouragement of everyone else. The acceptance in my little part of the world wide web has been tremendous.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone.

On to other things!

In blog hopping this week:

I stumbled across Ken Yates, a singer-songwriter, on John Mayer's blog. I've now listened to this song over and over.  It was even stuck in my head while running the other day.  Wanted to share it here too.  If the video below is cut off or loads slow, head to YouTube and watch it there.  Just listen to it once.  I'm in love with it.

Also, go here if you want the song for your very own.

Also, the Race for the Cure is this morning.  I'm headed off downtown in a bit.  If you have been thinking about making a donation, there is still time.  Head to this blog post for more info.

AND, if you haven't seen this post from the Love Addict herself, read it.  The bravery to be me.

Everyone have a wonderful weekend.  I'll be out running, soaking up some sun, and visiting Ellie. And possibly some grocery shopping.

And if those drunk guys from last night are drunk again tonight and yelling outside the apartment at 2 in the morning, I'm gonna thump someone.
