there aren’t many pictures

Happy Travels

I realized yesterday that I didn't take many pictures of Boston.  Hardly any pictures at all.  Which is incredibly strange for me.  And the friends are surprised and slightly disappointed.  Oops.

I've decided I need to go back to Boston, even if the only reason is to redeem myself as a vacationer and sight seer.

I always found the Denver airport to be kinda fun with all the people movers.  2 lanes in each direction.

I felt a little bit guilty when I realized I had snagged the exit row seat for the 3 hour flight from Denver to Boston.  I got over it and greedily stretched my legs out completely in front of me.  While sitting down. That was a nice flight.

We went to the New England Aquarium.  “This is Myrtle the turtle.  She is between 75 and 80 years old.  You know what she goes topsy turvy for? Brussel sprouts.”  Say that to me with a Boston accent and I'm a fit of giggles.

These little fat guys were fun to watch.  The just stand there like that, not moving.  Kinda funny.  The first time we walked by them the sprinklers were on and they would stand in the sprinklers and just be showered.  A few were swimming around, but mostly they stand in the sprinkler and honk at each other, then waddle around a bit.  Which I can see would be kinda boring to watch, but I thought they were funny.

And of course Fenway Park. The day started warm and sunny but quickly turned breezy and pretty chilly.  But the Red Sox beat the Yankees and that made it a good day.  A few other adventures rounded out the day and we all needed some sleep after that.

The Park is one of those places, like the Statue of Liberty and Yellowstone, that you must see.  If you are remotely a baseball fan you need to pilgrimage to Boston to go to Fenway Park.  It's a pretty magical place.

It doesn't get much more american than baseball at Fenway Park, Sox vs. Yankees.  It could change your life.  Just saying.

And I have to say, I've been to a few sporting events.  Not a lot, but a few.  And I've been to my share of minor league baseball games.  There are no sports fans like Boston fans.  And I'm sorry if you don't like the facts, but that's just how it is.

And that's all the pictures I took!  Can you believe it?!  Even I'm surprised.  No pictures of the gazillion trees I saw on the trip from Boston to New Haven.  No pictures of New Haven. No pictures of Boston!

I need a do over.

Cheers!
