I'm open to new experiences. New processes. New ideas. New things.
There are just certain things that I'm comfortable with. Certain things I know I like.
Like JIF peanut butter. I never buy generic. Ever. (Except for Ellie.)
And coffee. I tried Folgers. And I tried Seattles Best. And no offense to them, but I just prefer Starbucks. And I always get the house blend. Because even though breakfast blend is good, it's a bit too mild. But still good. In a pinch, I'd buy that as an alternative.
But I prefer the house blend. It's a medium roast. It's yummy. And full. And bright. And smooth. I guess. All I really know is… I like it. And I didn't look any further.
So imagine my dismay when I dashed into the store to grab a big bag of house blend only to find an empty shelf. Really? Really.
And to make it worse? There wasn't any breakfast blend either. Humph.
So now I have to make a choice, Go somewhere else or, gasp!, try something… else? So I poked around, moved the bags, made sure I saw all my choices. And I grabbed the columbian. Because it's a medium roast, balanced, and… nutty? Ok.
And y'know what? It's not bad. In fact, I liked it.
ps – I love the hipstamatic app for my iphone. LOVE.
